St. Ambrose Technology: The Best Around
Seven years ago when the current 8th graders were kindergartners, you might not be have been able to recognize the computer lab. It has completely transformed. St. Ambrose Computer Lab currently has 33 Apple computers, including 17 top of the line Apple "Emacs." Every classroom also has a computer available to the students. The nurse's office even has a computer, and the library has two new computers, brought up to run the new program "Reading Counts," a new program inspiring kids to like reading! The school also includes 4 SmartBoards which are used in place of chalkboards.
Kids are now learning to
type as young as 4th grade, and you can see how much it
helps in the 8th grade. Some 8th grade students can type
well over 60 words per minute. Getting kids into computer
skills at young ages is important. Computers are becoming
more and more common, and you can be assured your children
will be ready for it with the computer program St. Ambrose
offers!
