The mission of St. Ambrose Catholic School is to nurture and facilitate the growth of its children through an integrated program of faith development and academics. This is carried out daily for the approximately 34 Pre-K (three and four year olds) and 220 students attending the K-8 program at St. Ambrose.

The core curriculum includes religion, english, reading, mathematics, social studies and science. The core subjects are supplemented with formal classes in computer literacy, music and fitness. In addition, students have the option of participating in extracurricular including Computer Club, PC Wet and sports.

A number of services are provided by the school or local agencies for children wishing to make use of them. A group of "grandparents" come to school to give primary students opportunities to practice oral reading. Before school care begins at 6:30 AM and after school care is provided until 6:00 PM. The D.A.R.E. program is provided to instruct children in drug awareness. The S.A.P. program provides assistance to children who are at risk due to behavior, health, attendance or academic challenges.

The cost of education at St. Ambrose Catholic School for the 2007-2008 school year includes tuition and a supply fee. Parishioner families with one child attending pay $2,530.00 in tuition. Parishioner families with two children attending pay $4,050.00. Non-parishioner families pay $3,600.00 tuition per child. Parishioner families with three children attending pay $4,250.00; Parishioner families with four children attending pay $4,450.00 Each child pays a supply fee of $150.00. Tuition payments paid in full by August are subject to a 2% discount, semi-annual payments are subject to a 1% discount and monthly payments are made by way of F.A.C.T.S. automatic-withdrawal plan. Financial assistance may be available to those who request and qualify for such assistance.
